The inspiration behind COUCOU CHLOE’s new project? Actual Life.
COUCOU CHLOE’s single ‘DRIFT’ is out now, and she’s not here to play around. The French-born, London-based artist has been tearing up the international music scene for a few years now and, with the release of this single, she is asserting her technical prowess and artistic skillset to the world. “The more you grow and understand living and the complexities of your emotions, the more you can express that,” explains the artist. “Almost everything I’ve experienced has become material for me to share.”
The first single off of her soon-to-be-released FEVER DREAM EP, ‘DRIFT’ is a slimy bass ballad featuring the artist’s spectral, strung-out vocals and mesmeric production, building with a pulsating bassline and serrated synths towards a vertiginous climax. With a first single like ‘DRIFT,’ how could the FEVER DREAM EP not indeed be a true fever dream? More impassioned and club-driven than ever, with features ranging from Eartheater, 654AR, Matt OX, Woesum, Brodinski, Tony Seltzer and Kai Whiston, COUCOU CHLOE shows off the evolution of her unique soundscape, diving deeper into her signature sounds, exploring visceral loss, perception of time, twisted romance, and beyond.
COUCOU CHLOE’s dark and entracing deconstructed club sounds have reached audiences far and wide, collaborating with artists such as Lady Gaga, with design houses Burberry, Gucci, and Lanvin, and has been featured in i-D, Highsnobiety, and L’Officiel Paris,
FEVER DREAM comes out on September 27th and the artist’s UK and EU tour will begin shortly after. The tour dates have been announced and tickets will be on sale at 11am BST on the 24th of July.
